SLEX Toll Fee Increase 2026: What Changed and How Much You Pay Now

SLEX toll fee increase 2026 explained

SLEX toll fees went up twice in 2026, first on January 1 and again on July 1. If you drive between Alabang and Calamba, a Class 1 trip now costs ₱137, up from ₱116 at the end of 2025. This guide explains what changed, which parts of SLEX were affected and how to work out your own fare without guesswork.

Why SLEX toll fees went up in 2026

A backlog of approved adjustments

Toll operators can apply for periodic rate adjustments under their concession agreements. For SLEX, adjustments that were due in 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2024 were never applied at the time. The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) approved them as one consolidated adjustment instead of four separate hikes.

Why it came in two tranches

Applying the full amount at once would have meant a sharp jump for daily commuters and logistics companies. The TRB split the increase into two tranches six months apart, so motorists saw two smaller changes rather than one large one.

How much SLEX toll fees increased

Alabang to Calamba, the main section

The Alabang–Calamba section carries most SLEX traffic and saw the biggest change. Here is how the full-section fare moved for each vehicle class.

Effective dateClass 1Class 2Class 3
Before January 1, 2026₱116₱232₱348
January 1, 2026₱126₱253₱379
July 1, 2026 (current)₱137₱274₱411

In total, a Class 1 vehicle pays ₱21 more for the full section than in 2025. Class 2 and Class 3 increases follow roughly the same 1:2:3 ratio.

Calamba to Sto. Tomas and STAR Tollway

The short Calamba–Sto. Tomas section (Toll Road 3) also went up, from ₱31 to ₱37 for Class 1. A full Alabang to Sto. Tomas trip is now ₱174 for cars.

STAR Tollway, which continues from Sto. Tomas to Batangas City, had its own adjustment on the same dates. From Sto. Tomas to Lipa, Class 1 now pays ₱64. If you drive all the way to Batangas, remember that the STAR fare is added on top of the SLEX fare.

Which parts of SLEX did not change

The Skyway at-grade section

The ground-level stretch from Buendia and Magallanes down to Alabang kept its old rates. That means trips that stay north of Alabang cost exactly what they did in 2025.

If you only use SLEX between, say, C-5 and Alabang, your fare is still ₱118 for Class 1. The increase only affects you once your trip enters the Alabang–Calamba section.

How the increase affects common trips

Daily commuters from Laguna

A worker driving from Sta. Rosa to Alabang every weekday pays ₱81 each way. Over a month of about 22 working days, the 2026 changes add a noticeable amount, so it is worth checking your exact route in the SLEX toll calculator.

Weekend trips south

A Class 1 trip from Magallanes to Calamba now costs ₱255 one way. Families heading to Batangas pay the SLEX fare to Sto. Tomas and then the STAR fare, so plan your Autosweep load for the round trip before leaving.
