How to Load Autosweep for SLEX and How Much Balance You Need
SLEX is fully cashless, so every toll plaza reads an Autosweep RFID sticker and deducts the fare from your prepaid balance. If the balance is too low, the barrier stays down. This guide covers how to load Autosweep, how much to keep for typical SLEX trips and a few habits that save you from being stuck at the lane.
What Autosweep is and where it works
The RFID system SLEX uses
Autosweep is a prepaid RFID sticker linked to your vehicle's plate number. Readers at each toll lane detect it, identify your account and deduct the fare automatically. SLEX does not accept Easytrip, the system used on NLEX-side expressways.
Other roads that take the same sticker
The same Autosweep account works on Skyway, STAR Tollway, NAIAX, MCX and TPLEX. If you also drive north on NLEX or SCTEX, you need a separate Easytrip sticker for those roads.
How to load your Autosweep account
Through the app or online channels
The most convenient way is the official Autosweep app or the online channels it lists, which include e-wallets and online banking. Payments usually reflect quickly, but leave some time before a trip in case a reload is delayed.
Over the counter
You can also reload at partner outlets and at Autosweep customer service locations. Partner lists change from time to time, so check the official app or website for the current options and any convenience fees.
How much balance you need for SLEX
Typical one-way fares
Use these Class 1 fares as a guide when deciding how much to load. All of them come from the same data as our SLEX toll calculator.
| Trip | Class 1 fare |
|---|---|
| C-5 to Alabang | ₱118 |
| Alabang to Sta. Rosa | ₱81 |
| Alabang to Calamba | ₱137 |
| Magallanes to Calamba | ₱255 |
| Magallanes to Sto. Tomas | ₱292 |
A simple rule for round trips
Load at least twice your one-way fare plus a buffer for detours or a second stop. For a Magallanes to Calamba round trip, that means more than ₱255 × 2 before you set off. Class 2 and Class 3 vehicles pay roughly two and three times the Class 1 fare, so scale up accordingly.
How to check your Autosweep balance
Before the trip
Log in to the Autosweep app or customer portal to see your current balance and recent transactions. Checking the evening before a long drive gives you time to reload if needed.
At the toll lane
The display at each Autosweep lane shows the fare deducted and your remaining balance as you pass. If the number is getting low, reload before your return trip.
Avoiding problems at the toll plaza
What happens if your balance is too low
If your balance cannot cover the fare, the barrier will not lift and you may be asked to move aside to reload. That delays you and the cars behind you, so it is far easier to keep a comfortable balance.
Keep the sticker readable
The sticker needs a clear line of sight to the reader. Avoid covering it with tint film, dirt or accessories, and contact Autosweep if your sticker is damaged or you change vehicles.
